My big fish this year

Nice carp. Where you bowfishing or just using a hook and line? What'd it weigh? As ugly and stinky of a fish as they are they are still pretty fun to catch. Like bringing in a fiesty sack of doorknobs. My biggest was 34lbs on 60lb test, and it still took me 1/2 an hour to get it on shore.

I didn't actually weigh the thing. Used corn to chum them in. Let the hook with corn sit on the bottom. Was only using 6 or 8lb line. I think 6. Its my favorite type of fishing i think now. Just got into it this year. Stand in the water and you just see these bowling balls with tails cruise under you and along the shore. Catch one, and like you said. Hang on for a ride. Almost spooled me three times. Yes the are ugly but. You probably already know this, for a picture or to hold them put your thumb in their mouth. They suck on your thumb and It calms them down or somthing they become sleeping babies and stop flopping around. Ive seen bigger in the water. I've heard they are catching whoopers in craven in that muddy stream/river.
