Who uses Rotifers?
Who uses Phytoplankton?

What are your reasons for using? What are your results?

I'm Curious...

Rotifers can be used for feeding corals or raising clownfish, which I hope to try again. Phyto is used byalot of stuff in your tank. Most hard corals prefer zooplankton.

I received my first phyto a couple weeks ago and i thought my tank up till then was doing okay...couple of turkey baster shots a night and man what a difference.. everything "WOW" almost like i was starving them before...
my shrooms have split from 2 -4 in 2 weeks and the are about to again...my zoos are all open instead of just a few...and its the only thing new to my tank...

I agree with Cary - I just used to blanket feed the corals in my tank, but then went to turkey basting of most corals before blanket feeding ( and turning off skimmer for an hour) ... I've taken ScaryGary's suggestion on one of our salwater tours ... to handfeed corals, also. Feed some of the tentacle corals with small hunks of krill, megamarine algae and shrimp. They do actually grab the food and take it into the mouth of the coral.

Have seen way healthier looking corals - frogspawn, torch, rose bubbletip anemone, scolymia etc. - from the baster, blanket and hand feeding.
