So last night I was quite startled when I saw a fairly large black worm with tentacles peeking out of one of my live rock I had just been moving around. It looked maybe a bit larger around than a pencil with multiple short tentacles. It doesn't look like the pictures of broistleworms I have seen. The light wasn't too bright at the time, but I'm pretty sure it is pure black. I wanted to get a picture, but I can't even get a second good look at it. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

I appreciate the links. It looks a little bit similar to that eunicid worm if it was pure black. I am going to try to get another look at him, maybe I'll bait him with a piece of food. He scared the crap out of me at first but he actually looks very cool so I don't want to remove him if I don't have to. Maybe I'll get lucky and snap a picture.

Some fireworms are quite dark, and if dimly lit would look black.
