Well Stinga it like this

A kalk Reator is great, until you start consuming more calcium then the kalk is putting out.

And then you will need a Calcium reactor oh ya

did I tell you that i have a Calcium Reactor for sale too. check my post..:smily313:

with my tank and stand in there its updated

Stinga if your KalkWrasser Reactor dont put out enough Calcium just add it manual. Wait KalkWrasser dont add Calcium. A Calcium Reactor is a great piece of equipment. Chris you dont need it, you dont have any reason to pay that kind of money right now. Go for a Kalkwrasser Reactor save your money.

I agree, if you not planning on starting with lots of SPS or clams even a Kalk drip and manually adding Calcium weekly should be enough along with monthly water changes. I don't even see the need for a Kalk Reactor. They have their benefits but so far I personally don't need one. I have a clam, lots of LPS, and 1 montipora cap I have a kalk drip and I add Cacium once a week. DKH is 11 and Calcium is 410.

THax for all the info guy's!The Unit would be for my 65 gal that I'm puting together,I was thinking just a Kalk drip, would that be big enough system that it would need the extra calcium?I planed on lps/sps(about 50/50) and clams .

For the time being but with my frog spawn's hammer's star polyops 3 clams, some sps corals it doesnt take very long to consume calcium. Mine is dropping every other day. that is why i'm going to go FOWLR ,and im away gone too.

from one week it was at 450 and 3 weeks later its at 375
