Okay I thought these were supposed to be so great, I just bought a dual life reef over flow and it is constantly losing its syphone but only on one of the overflow tubes. When I prime both of them there is no air in either tube, you can see the air passing through the tubes. As time goes on air collects in only one of them. Once it starts its a matter of time till it stops flowing on that tube. The other single tube is still enough to keep things draining properly. What I was wondering is if anyone has run into this problem. The only thing I can think of is that I don't have enough flow to push air through 2 drain tubes. The only reason I bought such a big one is I need lots of drains on the back becuase of the location of my sump.

Any suggestions?

You need more flow - BIGGER PUMP. The U-Tubes will collect air if the water flow is to slow. What size pump to you use on a 1400 GPH + overflow?

I've got a dolphin 2100 on it. The problem with increasing the pump is the drains won't keep up for me because of my sump design. The 2100 is all it can take. I just wanted to make sure that was the problem with the U tubes. It seems to be fine with just one. You can see the air getting forced out.
