If I have a stand that is 22 in. X 22in. and have a tank that is 36 x 18in can I put a board 36' long under that tank (and on top of stand). Will this support it well enough or will I have problems with it leaking or something? thanks

What are all the dimensions? Need to know because one cubic foot of water is equal to one pound of water. Depending on difference in height you might be able to get away with it.

Uhm, one cubic foot of water is 62 lbs!

Improperly supporting a tank is really not a good idea. I wouldn't do that unless you built a 2x3 or 2x4 platform for the tank to sit on (kinda like a kitchen counter how it sticks out past the cupboards).

yeah, I did not think it would work, but thought I'd ask. I found a stand for the above tank. Thanks

Thanks Myka, you helped me answer question number six in my science homework.
