as far as the test kit for stontium reads. It is very dangerours to reach high levels. If the lid was off and you spilt lots, you may want to test your strontium level and that may require a big or a couple big water changes

do as large a water change as possible asap.and every day keep changing till strontium levels norm.I think pats pets carries salifert testers. If everything is dead it will not harm anything doing a few quick changes over a few days as long as the makeup water is aged a day at least.dont add anything for a while. How did the corals fair? it may take time to show the damage. This is only what I would do :BangHead:

as sick as it sounds, i'd tear it all down, clean everything and start over, rinse everything off really good. you might also want to find out if it gets absorbed into everything like copper does..might cause a huge headache if it does..although I do not know...perhaps seek out on reefcentral chemisty forum to see how residual strontium is.
aside from that, I'm sorry to hear your cat's evil. I have cats too that enjoy destroying things of mine by knocking them off bookshelves and such, but nothing as serious as this.
