I was just wondering if it would be a problem adding a Blood shrimp to my tank when I already have two cleaner shrimps?

i've seen them co-habitate in tanks before.. (shawn lipon's tank) don't know if there are any issues between the two..I've never been able to justify the price of a bloodshrimp myself..I have peppermint and cleaners together tho.. :beat-pute

Paul you should'nt have a problem, I keep bloodshrimp, cleaner shimp, and peppermint shrimp, in my tank ever a problem. If you have a Flame Hawk watch out for him, he will eat bloodshrimp.

Ok according to canreef search I came up with its okay if you have pairs of shrimp (pepermint/banded) but individuals may become terittorial..
anyone find this so..
I've only kept peppermints as didnt want to add a cleaner and have him take over the tank..

Coral banded shrimps should be kept singly or as a mated pair. They may be kept with cleaners. I know of lots of people that have both in their tanks.I to had these two together. Some of the books do not recommend keeping the two together because the coral banded can become aggressive and possibly go after the cleaners. Most shrimp will live 2-3 years in a tank

I have a CBS and a cleaner in my tank together. They do both have their own territories tho and the tank is large, the never visit each other :) They have been around for a year now.
