Okay, so this weekend I get a nice bubble tip. Bring it home and put it in my tank. WOW, can this thing move. I have one round of duty and it is stuck to my power head. I did a feeding with all my pumps off and let it purge for an hour or so. When i turned on my pumps, the anenome goes flying across the tank, RIGHT TOWARD THE DAMN POWERHEAD. Fine, unplugged the powerhead, turned off the lights and went to bed. Woke up to a text asking my if the clown has found his home and i crack back with if he could ever find it. Go down stairs to turn on the lights and there it is, dangling in the overflow box. ARGH. Dig it out and set it on a rock and turned down the flow of my return pump. Are these things really worth it?

I have had mine in my tank for several months now & it still moves around. It has gone through my vortech a few times (I now have the foam mesh on it). It has also gone over the overflow & been found in the filter sock & the refugium as well. I keep hoping one day it will stop moving. Sometimes once your clown starts hosting they will stop moving.. sometimes.. mine didn't

From what I have read they move when not happy....
I haven't had a lot of luck myself with bubbletips, but my purple long tenticle only moved for the first few days and then has stayed put ever since....
And they also seem to appear to like sand so he has always stayed close to the bottom.....
You could try to rearrange the rockwork a bit to make sure he finds something where he feels secure with no exposure to his foot, but other than that are you sure you have enough light?
I have also read that they will move higher in the tank to be closer to the light if there is not enough....
Good luck...
