painting melamine need advice please

as johny five says in short circuit "neeed input" since im waiting for lights and have nothing else better to do.. i thought i would start my next little project my qt/holding tank build. but ill start another thread for that. what i need to know, and i think i know the answer, that trying to change the color or paint a melamine stand is a no win solution. but maybe im wrong.

if you have any ideas or thoughts on how i could go about this would be great id like to change the black to white. i was thinking automotive paint may harden the best and not easily be scraped off let me know what you think....

Just use a melamine paint.

go down to the local paint store and get your self some melamine paint.. A light scuffing with a green 3M pad and paint away & you should be good.

ill try it its a cheap walmart stand i had a 20g fw tank on and shut down this evening. it will serve my purpose and save me from building one

thanks guys i didnt even think of melamine paint and ive used it in the past too.
