stray electricity/ground probes

Hi everyone, I was just wondering how many people are using ground probes in there tank? and if anyone is where they got it from. thanks

I have been using a ground probe for a number of years. I can't remember if it was purchased at Bayside Corals or J & L.

There are opposite opinions whether these are good or bad.One will say that absolutely it will be of benefit..the other will say that if you use one you are more apt to cause your fish to get a shock, .I have put mine in the tank..then I read another article saying no..no...get it out. My favourite electrician does not recommend it....so it is now out and staying out.I will sell you mine for $5. I do not understand the rationale either way..
