We will be going away for a week soon and wonder how long fish will be OK between feedings. We live out of town and not sure if we can have someone here daily. Should be no problem having someone here every 2nd day

Thinking of auto feeders but that would require 2 and not sure if I want to invest in them unless absolutely necessary.

Thanks in advance
Moe

I have left mine for 48 hours on a regular basis. The most I would do is 4 days.

I think you will be good to go having someone there every second day. This is what happens with my tank since i work out of province. Someone comes by to feed them every second day, and do weekly water changes.

Make sure if you get someone to feed you show them exact amounts of food that are to be fed.

Thanks everyone. This will make life easier for everyone.

I have a reefer that will be glad to come out and lend a hand.

If I am having someone feed my tank for me I will put the food in a dixie cups for each feeding. That way it is all measured out for them and you don't have to worry about over feeding. I put dry and frozen food as well in dixie cups and put frozen in freezer. Tell them to feed one dixie cup per feeding. This method works great for me.

I leave pill boxes that have like 35 slots in a pack.. each one closes and opens separately,
you can pick them up from the dollar store down town, or walmart...
