Happy New Year everyone!

I had a conversation in the summer with the guys at Sasktel support about virus protection and the different programs available. They strongly suggested AVG as the main program and then a couple of free Antispyware programs off the net.

Seems to me that they also suggested that there could be a conflict between Norton and AVG BUT I can't remember:). I had Norton but haven't had any updates since August and am thinking it was disabled then. It is now up for renewal. Not sure if I need it and AVG.

Anyone enlighten me about this.

Thanks
Moe

I work in the computer field, norton is bloatware crap.AVG is a bandade anti virus program.Look at avast, small wonderful prog,we have trusted it on shop severs, and are home PC's for years.Oh and avast is free as well, get the trial and register it,good for a year.

Never had a problem with avg ever.

I've tried avast and disliked the intrusive pop up add everytime you log into your computer. I could have looked for the setting to turn it off, buuuut I was lazy and used to AVG so I went back to that.

Avast did however use less system resources than AVG did.

Norton = the devil. Remove it now.
