I'm heading off to Calgary next week and I'm wondering if any of you can recomend some Fish Stores to check out.

If I find anything cool I may pick up a coral. They should be fine to bring back with me shouldn't they?

The only place in Calgary I have been is Wei's (I think that is how it's spelled). They had quite abit of interesting things but I have heard it is hit & miss. I think Salt water is all they sell there. Had good prices from what I remember.

Yup, Wai's Aquarium 222-16 Avenue NE 403-276-3933 is great - very, very helpful - marine only. I thought the selection was pretty good. Clean, well kept, knows his stuff! You can also check out Ocean Aquarium 2610 Centre Street NE 403-277-7207. Golds was wonderful - I don't have contact info for them, but look on the internet . . . they have a great deal to do with fresh, especially ciclids but don't let that fool you. The prices were amazing! Great deals on salt fish etc. Fantastic selection - we got there the day after they received a shipment. Have lots of fun!!

Tell them you are travelling - they know how to pack things for shipping safely. They provide styrofoam boxes, etc. Nothing to worry about :)

No reviews provided..............

Golds Aquarium - Bay J, 4710 17th Ave. S.E.

Ocean Aquarium Ltd. - Bay 6, 2610 Centre St. N.E.

Wai's Aquarium Ltd. - Bay 4, 222 - 16th Ave. N.E.

Riverfront Aquariums - 417 Riverfront Ave. S.E.

Big Al's - 8228 Macleod Trail S.E.

You can also visit Pisces for the cheapest SW supplies we have locally. They don't have a SW section going at the moment but do have a FO display tank.

Don't keep the coral too long bagged and temp(too high/too low) is your worst enemy.

I was kinda disappointed with the selection in Calgary. But Wai's is worth the trip and Ocean Aquarium was ok too.

Make sure you hit Gold's. He has the best prices I have ever seen. On both salt and fresh water livestock.
