Couple of questions about automatic fish feeders if anyone has any experiences:

1) Does anyone have experience using automatic fish feeders to feed frozen foods?

2) I was told by Ron Ek of Kootany Trout Hatchery that "lazy susan" fish feeders will work for feeding frozen foods, but I have been unable to find any suppliers in Canada that carry these products. Has Anyone seen a supplier with fish feeders that are horizonal and contain a number of chambers and the chambers turn dumping the contents of each chamber into the water at timed intervals?

Any Ideas would be awesome!

Thanks,

Jon

I have had almost all types of feeders and have never heard of one for frozen. Maybe there are but im not sure how they would work once it got sticky after a few hrs thawed.

I also have never heard of any for frozen food, and there are definitely none that specifically say they can be used for frozen food, but "apparently" they can work if refilled daily?

Something like this:

I haven't seen any before but it looks like these students from the University of Victoria had the idea to build one for their project.

If you click the link at the top of the page when opened, you can download the word doc. and see pictures.

They also have email addresses, maybe they can build you one!? Or maybe, since its been a few years since their project, they might have or know who sells them...
