I always wanted to try one,the holder isn't very cheap,but 5 bucks of acrylic,i built one.Used it for a week and took it off,it was plugged and overflowing in 2 days.I'll just live with a dirty sump :)

I put a bit of gravel in the bottom of my first section and filled it with Hermit crabs. however I do put a sock on just before I start a water change process of blowing off all the rock work in the tank.
