Today i noticed a number of tiny white spirals on my glass, theyve been there for a while, i never looked too closely since they looked like air bubbles stuck to the glass and ive been playing with my protien skimmer. I was cleaning the glass and realized they are small white hard things stuck to the glass. From the outside it appears to have a spiral starting at the middle and working its way outwards. any id? thanks.
P.S. i have one turbo snail, and a few blue legged hermit crabs, thats about it for critters with shells.

They are Spirorbid worms. These are a type of featherduster with spiral hard tubes. They appear on glass, overflows, sumps, protien skimmers, etc. If the tube is straight then they are Serpulid worms, basicaly the same differant name . Soft featherdusters are known as Sabellid worms.
