I have a ton of worms with sections of purple and pink on them. anybody know what they r and how to get rid? also ugly scraggly star fish. i bought out some fish, live rock(very live) and equipment. been runnin for 3 days and theese worms and starfish just started coming out everywhere. Please help meeeeee!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like bristleworms. Ugly but beneficial as a scavenger, harmless to healthly animals. The stars are probably mini brittlestars. Also highly beneficial as scavengers.

do i want lots cause i have lots and they r coming out in daylight. i thought they come out at night

Eventually the tank will balance itself out, population wise - provided all the proper conditions are there...

In the meantime, just enjoy!

once you have a wrasse, even a small or peacefull (6-line or leapord) they will put the fear of wrasses into the worms and they will not come out in the day.

other candidates for worm control are purple pseudochromis or possibly arrow crabs although they have their own issues

make sure you research and be careful what you want because you may get it.

Probably the easiest is to host them on a site such as Photobucket and then copy to here...
