hippo tang question

i was just wondering i m wanting to get a hippo tang for my new tank its a 55g tank and i was just wondering if my tank would be to small for him thanks

55 is ok for a small one 2". I had one in mine but he grew and i didin't go bigger so i had to get rid of him.

I don't think a 55 will be adequate for it in the long run.

He'll be fine. It's 4 feet long which should be plenty imo.

I personally think that a tang should have an absolute minimum tank size of 90 gallons and a 6 foot tank would be even better. I don't believe you will be able to keep a healthy fish once it grows any larger than juvenile.
