Just wondering who has clams here.I just got a 4" Crocea clam from J&L and it seems to be doing great so far.Anyways i have been doing some research :read: and it seems that if a clam is over 3" it doesnt require any feeding with DT's or other such foods.According to the "experts" after a clam gets bigger it gets 95% of it's nutritional requirments form light. So my question is do you guys feed your clams or not? Also what kind and how big are they..pics would also be great. Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

Jeremy, I have six clams right now and have never target fed them, even the little guys. My tank is however, quite heavily populated with fish, so I suspect they are getting all the nitrate they require. Apparently if you have less than 10ppm of nitrate, you may need to supplement your clams, even though they get most of what they need from the light.
I'll try to dig up some articles, and take some pics of mine tonite. :)
