Well, the tank is a month old. The cycle is finished and I've got three corals frags (green star, brown mushroom, xenia) and about 10 sabella now thanks to Invigor. Everything is doing well and the xenia is pulsing like crazy. Hubby and I are really enjoying the tank. I can see why the others have become so addicted to this hobby. I'm already thinking about the Coralife Aqua Pro lighting rig. :Naughty:

Congrats on your success so far. Remember, patience is the most underated aspect of reefing :) Take your time and you will be very happy with the end result. Keep us posted on your tanks growth.

Mmm. Maybe I spoke too soon. We've so far lost a false perc (got into the overflow), a cleaner shrimp (no idea why) and a coral beauty (was delivered in a condition that can only be described as mangled; God that was awful). The water quality is fine as far as the test results show and the SG and temperature are ok. 1.025 and 77F respectively. It's very disheartening to watch things die or to discover little bodies in the morning. Hopefully the tank will be stable from now on. I don't think I'm really going to add much more than corals to it- the current fish and a cleaner + various hermits and snails seems enough.
