Im loving the clown goby in the 6th pic. if you want to try something different, turn your camera off of auto mode and change it to program if it has it. Then find the manual white balance option in your menu and aim it at something black in your tank and set it. Then open your apature up a bit (the fractions number, i.e. 1/36), that means to make the number a larger fraction (i.e. from 1/400 to 1/60). By opening the apature you are allowing more light to enter the camera's sensors and it lessens the need for a flash. You will need to use your tripod for this. Then slow down the shutter speed so that more light has time to hit the sensor. If you play with these parameters then you can eliminate the need for flash, and you can get better color rendition. The big con is your photos have a good chance at coming out blurry if you try and take a pic of a fish or moving corals. If they are all blurry, open your apature more and speed up your shutter speed. The cons of this is that the pic will get darker. You need to find a happy medium. Also, don't be afraid to use a flashlight or headlamp to light up your object of interest, just makes sure you don't get a nasty glare off the aquarium glass.
Cheers

Thanks all.
Scott...I printed out your comments and when my Daughter is here in a couple of weeks I will have her show me what to do. She is an avid camera buff and I am sure she knows what your comment mean. In the interin I am going to try some of your suggestions. Cannot hurt anything...
Thanks again..

Sure thing Rick! That's what so stellar about digital, you can take 100 pics and get instant feedback and decide what works and what doesnt. In the old days when I used my 35mm SLR I used to write down my settings for each frame, so that when I printed them out I knew what I did to get that effect.
Fell free to PM me if you have more questions.
