When feeding DT's, marine snow or any other liquid ... do you turn your filtration or skimmer off?

I turn my skimmer off for one hour after feeding marine snow. In the future, I think I'll spot feed my ricordia et al. directly and leave the skimmer on.

I've read that Marine Snow is 99.9% water and basically a waste. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not, all I have is my own limited experience with it. When I spot fed the Xenia and mushroom this morning with MS, they opened right up and the Xenia started pulsing immediately. Was the marine snow responsible or the jet of water from the syringe? I'll try some experiments over the next week and see what happens.
I stand corrected:
Anemones and mushrooms are not filter feeders and will not eat the marine snow product. Very few commonly kept reef animals will.

I think I'll skip the Marine Snow from now on.

I once read an article testing differerent types of phyto. Marine Snow was the least effective. The V8 juice got better results than m.s. I don't turn any thing off when feeding, probabaly better to turn things off but this way I won't forget to turn things back on.
