I looked around the web for stand plans & ideas.
Everything looked either too simple & ugly or too complicated.
Best site i found for simplicity was at http://garf.org/ diy pages.
I took some plans & modified them for myself.
The stand (49"x19") is slightly larger than the tank to ensure a good fit.
wood ~ 1/2 sheet 3/4 ply for top
8 of 96" 2x4's
~ 1/2 sheet 1/4" finished ply
The top has 3/4 plwood with 1/2" styrofoam.
The corner legs are L-shaped 2x4 for extra strength & stability.
One side of under the stand will fit the simple sump I previosly built.
A sliding shelf will hold the auto top-off resevoir.
will post finished pictures once completed.

Cabinet ready for stain & varnish
The front sheet will be secured with velcro and be easily removable for maintenance.
I'm planning a red oak stain for the finished product.
More to come
