Hey there!
Another question from me, hoping some of you can answer it for me.
Ok my tank has been running for like 5 - 6 months, and I have not seen one single bristle worm. Is that normal? How long should it take?
Also I have been having nasty cyano problems, I cut back on feeding and light time, but what else could I do to speed up the growth of hair algae instead? Anyone know?
Thanks!!

Look for bristleworms first thing in the morning before the lights come on, or in the middle of the night. They come out to feed at night. More then likely you have them in there.

As far as the cyno, your tank is more then likely going through that stage, and may last several weeks. You can waste your money on products to kill it. But I would just wait it out, as it is a part of your tank maturing process.

Invest 10$ on a large magnifying glass. At night, use a flashlight with a piece of red plastic over the lens and the mgnifying glass and you will see some bristle worms and lots of other interesting things.
