Has anyone seen tanks that have a mirror on the back of the tank? The idea is to add some depth to what you see and give you the ability to look at what's going on behind your live rock and so on. Often these mirrors have a blue tint, apparently.

I like this idea versus having some kind of coral photo backdrop on the glass at the back of a tank - I realize that if you have a mirror, then you have to clean that glass on the inside of the back of your tank on a regular basis - and that your snails etc. can't have a heyday on it.

Have you seen a tank with a mirror? What are your thoughts on this?

I don't know enough about salt tanks to give advice but I did read an article about mirrors. It said they weren't a good idea because the fish that are territorial or aggressive will fight with their image. Now, I can't see how that is physically harmful to the fish other than it is upsetting them.

And stress is very bad for fish.

Stress! Good point - and one I wouldn't have thought of.
