I did that nice little surge and its noisy as heck...basically its a toilet on your tank that autoflushes..
although it makes a nice surge of water(make sure your overflow can handle it or you'll overflow the tank)
didn't like the tupperware container.. a 2 inch wide x 12 inch high
plexiglass worked great and was more eye appealing
but too noisy .. its now an autotopoff !!!
closed loop geared sprinklerhead in the works.. need to power down the pump and it should be awesome..

are they very beneficial to corals? I would assume SPS would like it alot? Notice any improvements??

my sps i didnt notice anything my lps seemed to like it...
its supposed to be more natural wave like action than just spraying water at one area..
honestly if you had a wall mount that you could hide your equip behind and noise it'd probably be the bomb.!!
