OKay well I have a spare fish tank. And its 33 gallons. Is it possible to turn it into a sump?

That is all i ever use,then you just have to buy plexi ,cut to size and away you go.

Use glass with some GE silicone (door and window), don't use acrylic, glass is cheaper and will work better.

Glass is also harder to cut ,so it makes it harder to customize to your needs.

Just tell the glass shop the size of the peices you want and they will cut it for you. I was very surprised just just how cheap it was.

Id say just skip the baffles, just put your skimmer and macroalgae and whatever else in there and plumb it in to your main tank. Just keep it simple, a refugium.

yah your right, i guess you need some baffles, my point was just to mean simple is probably better.

do a little thinking and planning before you stick in the baffles, make sure you leave enough room for eqipment and hoses and what not. Plus any possible future add-ons.
