Does anyone have some empty snail shells for my hermits to grow into? I'd rather they inhabit discarded shells rather than hunt down my living snails. Does anyone in Regina sell them? I don't care what they look like as long as a hermit can physically get into it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys. I'll go buy some shells. The blue leg crabs are extremely small so I'm not worried about them quite yet, but the three red legs and the huge blue leg FJ gave me are probably going to need shells shortly.

They will grow quicker when they change shells, plus a few of mine kill each other over them so make sure you get lots.

Wondering how much for the shell?

and how many shells of a bag?

The bags of shells are 5.99 per bag at Micheal's in the east end. The shells are all white, vary in size up to 3" and aren't coated with any kind of laquer or anything. I got about 13 usable shells out of it. The others were scallops and such, unusable for hermits.

I believe Fanny's turned into a bar . The store I mentioned is on the same block of Dewdney at the East end.

Just buy some snails....your hermits will eat them in no time and then you will have no snails but some nice empty shells.

J/k ...making a comment on the wondeful habits of my hermits :)
If I was in the city I would gladly give you a handful out of my tank.
