I only have 1 65watt PC bulb over my 18 inch deep tank, what are some easy corals that i can get and keep under this light, the best flow is on the left side where the AC20 is and the most medium flow is under the AC70. Let me know what you think.

I keep my anenome, green brain, star polyps, mushies, zoos, etc... under my pc (I think the same fixture). I also run just a 15W actinic with it. It is in a 20g tank though. I would say you should be able to get away with most of these fairly easier ones. Some people may say no anenomes without halides or t5? , but mine has grown from the size of a loonie to the size of a cantelope and is doing great.

See what works and what doesnt for you.

Diatoms for Xmas? Lucky you. *g*

You could probably keep blastos under those lights. Cody has lots of small gorgeous ones. They're pricy tho. Soft corals too, leather, Kenya tree, Xenia, etc. Polyps like green star, clove, glove, feather would be happy. I have acans near the bottom of my tank and they seem to be doing ok, growing a little.

Rukus- is it a BTA?

hope that helps a bit, see everyone at bayside *g*

Id say with the fixture I gave you I would stay really light casue its probbaly a 50/50 and id say unless you upgrade to a full 10k U wont sucseed in all the corals. Thats what id say. Brain would need a little more depth of a lighting. Id say a 55 witch I am quessing 18 inches deep would require two 65 watt fixtures to do aload of corals. Id say for the tank you have to get only xenia kenya tress, zoos for sure, polyps mushrooms. No anemones unless provin to thrive.

Tell Colby what conditions you have, and he will tell you what is best for you. That's what I usually do. I also point at something I like at his store and ask about it. Hope this helps. :)

Hey guys dont know if u know this already but zoos are farly light demanding. And i would NOT get an anemone. Exspecially as a first. And thats an invert not a coral as well. Your zoos will bleach due to lack of light if located at bottom of tank IMO also a brain coral is a low light coral...Red ones more so then the green ones. There night light demanding in fact min is in half shade under a rock or he bleaches from to much light. Just talk to colby thats the best thing to do.
