Well, I am totally green to saltwater aquariums. Our youngest daughter is going to be graduating this year so we figured that we needed a hobby. We thought maybe we would try raising fish instead of kids - haha! I have been researching this for a couple months and we are just about ready to take the plunge. We just got back from a trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee where we visited Ripley's Aquarium. It was amazing! I would highly recommend it. Two of the things that intrigued me the most were the Leafy SeaDragon and the Jelly Fish. I attached a couple pictures that we took of these if you are interested. After visiting Ripley's, we are very excited about getting our feet wet with our new hobby. I was very excited to find this local forum so I can get some local advice. There is so much info out there it can be overwhelming!

Thanks for the tip on Ripley's.

If you don't have to support your kids anymore, you should have lots of money to invest in your saltwater set-up!

We'll keep you up to date on saltwater tours of some of our member's set-ups or maybe we should head to your city, Moose Jaw, to see some of the set-ups there.

The tours sound like they would be great. How often do they happen?

No specific time table. Whenever we can get 2 or 3 people to show their tanks. If your in Regina and would like to see my tanks P.M. a couple of days before and maybe we can arange a time. I live in the north west . My wife grew up in Moose Jaw. Mother in law and 4 sisters still live there.
