Conch Mating?????

Hey eveyone, i was just curious about how conchs mate? I have two and it always seems like one is riding the other with a long thing going into its shell, really kinda gross and takes away from the reef because they are constantly at, is this mating? and if so does someone want a strawberry conch, i dont really want a ton of them in my aquarium :new_newbi

Even if this is them mating, you will never have more than those two. The hatchings will never survive. Even pros have a hard time raising them. you need special feedings and seperate raising tanks. Most of the animals that mate or spawn in marine tanks start out life as larvea, so unless they are moved to a sperate tank and supplied with special foods they will not survive.
