What the ....!

Okay last night I came home about 2ish. And I turned on my light in my room to see what was happening in the tank. When I turned it on I found what looked to be the remains of my Blue Sided Fairy Wrasse which has dissapeared for the last 3 weeks. I thought he was dead so I went and grabbed the net and went to scoop out the body ,and whoosh he swam into my rock work and just continued to lie under a ledge. And then this morning he was gone agian. Does anyone know why he did this. Has it laded eggs under the rocks and just sits there with the eggs or is he being bullied by the other fish and doesnt come out anymore. Any ideas will help.
