Tang IN Anenome?

I've heard of that happening before...I think Joe Bladyko had a yellow tang snatched by a carpet anemone.

When I read the title I thought you ment he was palying in it. I hope he liked it, must have been at least a what say $50 meal? Should tast good for that price!!!!!!!! It would have been cool to see it happen at least for that price. My Regal playes by my sebae all the time & I dont think its been stung yet.

Ya know whats funny,,,,,, I just found out that Im missing 4 crabs! I cant find a singal one, & they were huge.

Hey stinga I didn't mean haha funny I meant scratch my head funny. They were hermit crabs 1 blue leg. The biggest was quite large it was in a shell that was about 1.5"-2" long. The problem is that if somthing goes missing my yellow head sleeper goby will bury it same day! I had a bunch of empty shells at the bottom for them to grow into, so If there is a extra one under the sand from the goby Id never know!!!! I had them for a long time, I hope there just hidding in the rock. However I have a really large sebae & maybe he has snatched one or two :scratch2: ! I think I got them from Petland or WOP cant remember!!! Not sure if I should be worried or not???

a little off topic but I know how bad it is to loose an expensive fish to something like that. My lion fish one day decided to eat my flame angel!!! Now that was expensive. I didn't even think it would fit in his mouth. I guess thats why I still saw the tail sticking out a bit

I think the Anemone could have done the dirty deed,i mean it did eat the fish right.Maybe the crabs are under the sand like you said but if that is the case i'd think they would crawl out no prob. keep looking sometimes things go MIA and then re-appear days or weeks later,I know shimp(Camel,blood,pepperment) will do this all the time.

I have seen pics of a fair size mappa puffer I belive it was called that got eaten by a anenome and the pics showed it being spat back out

I seen the tail of my 6 inch Foxface sticking outta my RBTA one day. It spit out the skeleton the next day. I think it musta been sick or dieing already though I don't think it could trap a healthy fish.

from what i could tell... the regal was very healthy... just very small... only the size of a loonie or so. he ate like a pig, great color. Maybe he just was becoming too good of friends with the clowns that he thought he could just swim in :fish2: haha, was too bad he had to succomb to the innards of the anenome.
