Egg sack ?????

okay i need a camera to get a pic but thsi things it odd

its like an egg sack hanging from a rock
it hangs down about 5 inches on a sting "the string looks like when u stretch a peice of gum really long "
and the sack is white with brown/ red patches on it??
and is the size of a smaller gumball ?
what the heck could this be?

I dont know if its the same but i had something like that before.
it was a yellow sponge that grew and drooped then finally fell apart.

The thing i have was not attached to the glass this morning when i cleaned it,it was definatly placed there by something in the tank.
