View Full Version : Nano mini skimmer and sump

I decided to build a mini skimmer for my Nano tank. That way I can have a few small fish without having to do a crazy amount of water changes. Here’s how it turned out, let me know what you think….and some pics of my sump. I’d like to give a HUGE thanks to Steve with Engineered Aquariums who built my sump, and whose input was key in the success of my mini skimmer

Well I finally have some water flowing. Here’s a look at the set up. I just poured the water in so it’s still a little murky, guess I should have washed the sand a bit better… opps, but it’s already clearing. Now I just need a bit bigger return pump as this one is proving to be a little small. Let me know what you think…

Seems to be working pretty good, and that's just with a few corals.
