about a month agoe or so, i bought two 2x 96 watt coralife structures. ive never seen one of these befor, but are the bulbs normally dull, they really dont have much intensity.
when i compare them to my 55 watt jebo's my jeboe's i cant look at they hurt my eyes, the 96 watt's i can stare at forever.
maybe are my bublbs dead? and need to be changed ?

yup, it's time. pc's get pretty weak after about 6 months. I found hamilton lamps to be extremely bad for premature loss of intensity. I think GE makes pretty good ones.

also to raise another topic, is light shining through glass bad for the light?, does it diminish it at all, would light to straight water be better ?

i think its bad for the light if the light goes on at a an angle otherwise if its shining threw stright i believe its doesnt diminsh. But further study may be needed.
