Fishy!

There is a memory leak in firefox 1.0 that can cause it to use massive ammounts of ram(100-200 megs). This is because firefox has a tendancy to allocate the memory for itself, then forgets to free the memory up when it's done. There is an easy fix though.
*Open up the config panel by typing "about:config" into the address bar.
*Right click anywhere on the list and create a new interger called "browser.cache.memory.capacity"
*Set the value to 16384 for 16 megs (optimum). This limits firefox's memory usage by forcing it to dump the memory to the system page file.
*Restart firefox.
That's IT! Firefox should use no more than 35 megs of ram unless you have a lot of tabs open or something.http://www.saltcreep.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
