Styrofoam

Does anybody know where to get some styrofoam to put under a tank. I know Home Depot has some thick stuff for insulation but do they also carry thinner stuff that I've just never seen there. What does everybody else use under their tanks, and where did you get it from?

got mine at Home depot, it's pink and about 1/2" thick and quite dense. I use it under my stand to help level the heaves in the concrete floor. I also have a less dense piece about 1" thick under the tank.

they had every size under the sun when I got mine..unless you're looking for thinner than 1/2"

other than that, try the rest of the hardware stores, co-op, rona, home hardware...etc.

Thanks John. I wasn't really sure if I should be hitting the hardware stores or a Craft type store.

I went to wal mart and asked for all the styro containers they get their fish in..

have a 1/2 ton box full of differnt thickness's of pieces they stuff the boxes with..(as well as a few dozen boxes for shipping in..)

Holy crap thats a lot of strofoam. 4x8 sheet for 6 bucks at home depot. Anybody need some I have a 4x4 piece left over. Here's a tip, don't buy it on a windy day. Don't ask.:thanx:

ScottYou should try folding it in half...It fits better in your back seat....:D
