If the U of S has a science stores - you might be able to get some there - also, Home Depot may have some ... not sure if these have different grades or different qualities.
Are you trying to get rid of aiptasia or using it for some other purpose? A couple of us have just gone the rounds of trying a variety of aiptasia removal methods including microwaving calcium hydroxide and using that.

Home depot has it here in regina well did last week. And then some plumbing stores carry it. Its used sometimes in RV sewage tanks. And it is also the main ingrediant in Kalkwasser if im not mistaken.

you probably already know, but you'll want to find the closest to pure as you can. I think anything over 95% pure should be fine.
did a small search and this company say they carry it:
Potash Corp of Saskatchewan Inc, Saskatoon, SK Canada.
however, I can't find out what grade it is. you'll want USP grade, as it's 99% pure :D

Im thinking he needs it for a calc reactor. And yes, they would have some here at the science store, we use it in the lab all the time. Dont know if you need a profs permission to purchase it though. The science store is in the Spinks addition if you dont know. (north addition to Thor).

Clarks Supply and Service should have it in stock and if not they should be able to order it for you, if I remember correctly it's pretty cheap and they will sell it by the pound. If it's not pure enough get them to check with their supplier and they should be able to get purer stuff. You could also phone Clarks supply in moose jaw and talk to Wayne he does all the ordering and should be able to help you out.

Wow thanks for all the advice, I'll check the science store here at the university first.
I'm using it for a Kalk Reactor in place of kalk powder. So I should use USP grade?

you'll want as pure as you can find, otherwise you'll be adding unknowns to your tank..and for the sake of saving a few dollars on kalk, I don't think it's a good shortcut to take.
