Last week I finally bought a Pin Point Ph meter & power adapter. When I went to calibrate it the readings were all crazy & I could not calibrate it. I then got another one. When I went to calibrate it I had the same problem. I then tried to calibrate the meters with a battery instead of the AC adapter & both worked. The next thing I did was try calibrating them on a different breaker & they both worked. I assumed then that I either had a bad plug, a bad device on the circuit or electrical noise on the line. Finally I plugged the meter back into assumed faulty plug in my fish room & I began unplugging things one at a time. Eventually I got to the ozonizer, once I unplugged it the meters worked properly. When I plug the ozonizer back it the reading goes crazy. Somehow the ozonizer is creating noise on the circuit that the PinPoint Ph is reading but it isn't affecting my Milwaukee ORP. I also checked the plug to make sure I had 115v and I do. I'm now running the Ph meter off a battery and all is well.
Anyone else run into this? If i'm the 1st I guess its a word of warning.
