Just picked up the red one today. I was snorkling with some large ones on Thur. To bad I could't have brought some of those home along with some live rock. Looks O.K. but I hope it deepens in color under the halides.

Here's a pic of my one brain, red open brain. I personally love brains, they look great and are easy to care for. I have another Carnation Brain. I'll try to get a pic of it up some time soon. If you have any questions about them, feeding, light, just let me know.

I agree, I think they are real spectacular corals.

I now feed only dt's and marine snow. I use to spot feed them at night frozen food, but after I started feeding DT's they started doing so well that I stop the frozen food. I still give then a little piece now and then.

I like to feed chunks of krill once in a while. I do this with just about everything that seems to have a mouth and body size big enough to deal with it. Not sure that it's needed, but it seems to me that after they digest for a day or two they are the better for it.

This folded brain pretty much balloons by about 50% for part days after a feeding. And yes, he is too close to the hammer. And yes, he is too close to the glass. Been through this before, expensive solution.

Nice hammer ron, I like the brains too. How big do the brains usually get?

Thanks. They get massive in the ocean. This one has almost doubled since I had it, but now that I am cramping his style...
