... I was just wondering if anybody knew of any "hardy" fish that are reaaallly bright and look salt water... I currently have...

1 - Flame Angel
1 - Sailfin Tang
1 - Blue/Yellow Damsel
4 - Green Chromis
1 - Lawnmower Blenny
1 - Percula Clown
1 - Pink Skunk
5 - Blue Legged Hermit Crab
Various Snails
1 Large "Electric Blue Hermit"

... Also have a torch coral which I bought off of Izzie, that I would give up in a second to have some Amazing fish... I'm am satisfied with my fish, but they really don't look thaaaat amazing, besides my sailfin and flame angel that is...

... I had a yellow tang that wasn't healthy when I bought it, but really did like it!!!

... I have had a Raccoon Butterfly and Bicolor Angel that have gone missing, not sure who would be doing the damage!? But really want a Saltier looking tank, I guess I could say more Exotic without going Predator, unless that is the thing to do!?

... 80 Gallon, 50 pounds live rock, 2 heaters, 2 Aqua Clear 500s, 1 seaclone protein skimmer, no sump ( not going to get one either), Black Tahitian Sand

Thanks for annnnnny advice!!!

Nothing says saltwater better than a Pearlscale Butterfly :xyxthumbs. Could work a partial trade on that torch if you like.

moorish idol's are a pretty jaw dropping fish, as are any of the more exotic large angels (queen, french, emporer, blue face, etc.) and you can't really beat the look of a huge anemone hosting a school of clownfish :D

powder blue tangs have a good image as well!

Moorish Idols are hard to keep.John is right about the large angels, but remember only one per tank and should be bought as juv. not adults as they grow to large for an 80 gal. I have a gorgeous juv. french angel in my tank. Will have to get rid of him when he out grows it. Just remember the more striking it is, the more it will cost. Some of the large angels range from 80.00 to 200.00. Whats striking to one person may not be to another. Nothing says saltwater better than corals. My one tank has mostly mushrooms with a few hardy lps corals and fish. Can't get more marine except for a reef tank.

Some fish that remind me solely of saltwater would be:
(all easy to medium difficulty, price varies)

emperor angel
racoon/yellow long-nose butterfly
fairy wrasses
some of the more peaceful triggers like blue-throat or pink-tail
and who doesnt know of lionfish? a dwarf should be fine with all your fish

3 weeks ago I bought a lubbock's wrasse and disbar anthias. Both are VERY nice, active, colorful fish. The lubbock's seems to be about as hardy as they come too.

... Thank!!!... I thought an Emperor Angel can be aggressive, and will outgrow my 80 gallon... it also says my Sailfin will too... i guess i'll just sell them once they do get toooo big... I didn't think Wrasses or Lionfish could be in my tank... I thought a Lionfish will eat anything in its way!!??

Yes, an emperor angel can be aggressive and would outgrow your tank. They are farily peaceful as juvis, and really are only aggressive to other large angels, may be some fighting with the tang at first though.

There are many types of wrasses, many are 100% reef safe, peaceful, and max out at about 3". And yes, a lionfish will basically eat anything it can fit in its mouth, BUT a dwarf lionfish rarely gets over 4", and are typically found around 2" in length. Anything over an inch or two would be safe.

By the way, how did the sand change go? and hows the new sand treating you? Did you run into any unforseen difficulties?
