use a large hose and suck it out with your water changes it'll take a few weeks but it's pretty clean and easy to do without stirring up much dirt

... it sure is nice stuff!!... my process...

... took out enough water from main tank to fill up large clean moving container... moved live rock and livestock into bucket... moved a filter/heater to the bucket, leaving a filter still on the tank... I scooped out all of the crushed coral, then added the sand... which i was supposed to rinse... which i found to be a crock, how do you rinse 60 pounds of sand??... so i put it in, running the ugly water through just foam insert in filter... and rinsing foam frequently... then going to stir up sand and go through process again to ensure clean sand and water... then re-introduce the live rock/stock into the tank... should be looking migggghty good... I bought 4 bags for my 80G, which only needed 3 to have PLENTY of substrate... the 4th leftover bag is spoken for by "IZZIE" at a price of $50 as it cost me $198 to get it to my door... Will post more once its set up!
