i have 290 watts in a 35 gallon found the extra compacts (110 watts)really pumped everythin up...my tank is 24 deep and all the corals are at least up 12 inches..

on a 18" tank, i would call it low to moderate..softies shouldn't have a hard time growing.. LPS should be ok too, like brains, frogspawn, etc.

get a squamosa. ask marcus "panda" about growing them under PC lights. it must have been about 12" wide last time I saw it!
